Policy Advisory Committee

The Southwest Policy Advisory Committee was initiated by the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority in 2002.  On May 12, 2010, Commissioner Gail Dorfman, Chair of the PAC, thanked PAC members for their participation and concluded the work of the PAC.  The purpose of the Southwest PAC was to provide policy direction, provide information regarding community concerns/issues, and communicate with community groups, elected officials, and other key stakeholders during the Feasibility Study, Alternatives Analysis, and the initial phases of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement.  The Metropolitan Council subsequently formed the Southwest Corridor Management Committee, which will advise the Metropolitan Council on all issues relating to the design and construction of the project.
